Our Story
Our home inspection company’s journey began with a simple idea – our “Aha” moment over 21 years and 6,000 home inspections ago.
The idea of working hard at what we love doing, side by side, inspired us to be our best. To rise to the challenge of becoming home inspectors in a time when the industry was not well known, required grit, and determination. Of course, a bit of humor was helpful to keep us sane along the way too!
Through the years, after building a strong and successful business, we realize that our purpose for being here really is about the great people we serve – our clients! Our clients are the reason we stay in business.
We never lose sight of the fact that our job is to inspect their homes as if we were inspecting the home for ourselves – because we care! And that’s the way it should be.
We are, Bob and Carol Aber, the owners.
HOME INSPECTION SERVICES
- Buyer’s Pre-Purchase
This type of inspection is the ideal way to ensure that as the buyer, you are informed and educated about the property you are purchasing whether it is a re-sale home or brand new construction.
- Seller’s Pre-Listing
When considering selling your home this is an excellent step to take to prepare the home and help to get it in its best possible shape before listing it. The pre-listing inspection will help to reduce the possibility of surprises from unknown deficiencies that might, otherwise, appear in an inspection performed by your buyer’s inspector.
- Buyer’s 11 Month Builder Warranty
This inspection is usually performed thirty days prior to the expiration of the builder’s One-Year New Home Warranty. It presents concerns you may want to bring to the builder’s attention and allows time for any necessary repairs to be made.
- Pre-Drywall Inspection
This type of inspection is performed prior to the builder installing insulation and drywall in a home. The purpose is to evaluate the structural and mechanical components for potential defects and address them before they are covered up.
- Re-Inspection
A re-inspection can be ordered by the client after an inspection has been completed. It is a new evaluation of systems or components that had been found to be in need of repair, or further evaluation, during the original home inspection.
- Homeowner’s Home Maintenance
Home: It is important to have your home routinely inspected to make you aware of arising conditions to help you prevent potentially major and costly repairs. This is similar to a checkup visit to the doctor or dentist that need only happen every four years or so.
-
Re-testing Radon in air: Re-testing is recommended by the EPA every two years due to fluctuations in radon levels over time. In addition, renovations to the home or living pattern changes, like plans to live in a lower level of the house such as a basement that was previously tested but is not currently lived in, would be reasons to re-test.
-
Re-testing Well water: The EPA recommends well water to be re-checked every one to five years depending on the type of tests needed. We will be able to help advise you on the best course of action for your testing.
